Throughout her college career, Valerie has embraced a wide range of performance opportunities. She has served as dance captain in two university productions and taken on roles such as Bird Girl/Dance Captain in Seussical (Dir. Kyle Pleasant), Margaret Pew in Treasure Island (Dir. Burton Tedesco), and starred in a series of new musicals (New Box New Musicals, Dir. David Williams). Committed to continuous growth, she attended the Summer Study at Steps on Broadway in New York City in 2025 to further hone her dance training. She is attending the Verdon Fosse Legacy program in summer 2026.

Valerie is equally passionate about teaching and empowering others through the arts. She worked at Broadway Sacramento Music Circus's production of Frozen, assisting their child actor company. She is EFP-certified in Estill Voice Training and has taught at various summer camps, giving back to the communities that have shaped her. Outside the studio and classroom, she’s also a PureBarre instructor. In her downtime, Valerie enjoys traveling, staying active, and cherishing time with her beloved niece and nephews.
